About Us

At C4F (Centre for Families), our mission is simple: to help children and parents stay connected in safe, supportive, and meaningful ways.

We know that family life doesn’t always go as planned. Separation, court processes, conflict, or distance can create barriers between children and the people who love them. These situations can be emotional and difficult for everyone involved — but especially for children.

C4F exists to provide a bridge: a safe, neutral environment where children can continue to spend time with their parents, supported by trained professionals who prioritise their wellbeing.

Who We Are

C4F is a community company. We are not a charity, and we are not a corporate organisation. Instead, we sit firmly in between — combining professionalism and structure with compassion and a people-first approach.

Our team is made up of experienced, trained staff who understand the sensitivity of family contact. They provide support with empathy, professionalism, and care, ensuring that every session — whether supervised, supported, indirect, virtual, or handover — is managed with the child’s best interests at heart.

Our Values

Everything we do at C4F is guided by our core values:

Child-centred care — the wellbeing of children comes first in every decision and every service we provide.

Safety and security — our centres are safe, neutral spaces where families can connect with confidence.

Compassion and respect — we treat every family with dignity, understanding, and kindness.

Progress and support — we aim to help families move forward, whether that means stepping down from supervised to supported contact, creating a parenting plan, or building confidence for independent arrangements.

Inclusivity — we welcome families from all backgrounds, recognising that every story is unique.

Recognition and Accreditation

C4F is proud to be accredited by the National Association of Child Contact Centres (NACCC), which ensures our services meet nationally recognised standards of safety, professionalism, and quality.

In 2023, we were honoured to receive the Chair’s Award for Innovative Practice at the NACCC AGM. This award reflects our commitment to finding creative, supportive, and effective ways of helping families through challenging circumstances.

Why Families Trust Us

Families choose C4F because we combine professional standards with genuine care.

Parents describe our centres as “warm and welcoming”, while children enjoy the playful, homely environments. Our staff are often praised for being kind, helpful, and understanding.

For us, the greatest recognition comes from the families we support — seeing children smile, parents reconnect, and progress being made, step by step.
